Upcoming Events at the Annandale United Methodist Church:

General Conference 2020 Volunteers

The Dakotas-Minnesota Area Host Team welcomes you to General Conference 2020 (May 5-15) in Minneapolis!  Volunteering will provide a tremendous opportunity to see the United Methodist connection up-close and extend hospitality to siblings in Christ from around the world. The Dakotas-Minnesota host team is looking for volunteers of all ages, interests, and abilities. The team’s primary goal is to extend radical hospitality to guests so that they feel welcomed and safe, and can focus their full attention on participating in the gathering and discerning God’s vision and direction for our denomination.

You can indicate interest in volunteering with the Dakotas-Minnesota host team at gc2020welcome/org/volunteers.

Most host team volunteers will select three-hour shifts during the 10 days of General Conference.  There will also be opportunities to help with General Conference preparation and training prior to the event itself.

Family Night – 2nd Wednesdays

Wednesday October 10th at 6:30 we will meet for our 2nd Family Night of this School Year.  It has been great to meet your families, and I am looking forward to meeting more of you this month.
We will share a light meal, some fun time, and  a short Bible lesson for all.  Bring one of your favorite jokes to share.   Here is one of pastor’s favorites.  “How do you make a Kleenex dance? You put a little boogie in it.”
We would also like to plan fun activities and disciple-like activities such as Feed My Starving Children, Project Hope, and possible AUMC member assistance, such as raking for the elderly, etc. And finally, bring your calendars to the October Family Night so we can find a date for the youth to participate in the entire worship service.
We need someone to volunteer to host the meal portion this month.  Please call or email the church office if you are able to host.    – Pastor Paul and Laurie Dick
